Pig helps us save money!

First shoppers online have reported nervousness and many reported sending money twice.

I bet 100% of the first time online shoppers will answer yes if you ask them if they think they over paid.

For their benefit here is a website "Feed the Pig". There, you'll find useful tools, a quiz, tons of tips on saving money.

There is a pig standing dressed in odd pink, talking excitedly to us when we opened the 'Feed the Pig'.

It is vital the online shoppers to become smart, even during thrit first time shopping spree online.

What do you say?

India's first online comparison shop.

Hurray, India woke up at last. With several million Internet users in India, I wondered why there is not a single comparison shop online for Indians in India.

Today, I came to know about Bechna.com (a Hindi word for selling). I think it is a slow profile website as far as traffic and popularity is concerned.

The website design is pretty ordinary but the site is loading pretty fast. Information on products is elaborate and this is useful to all. It is so unlike many western online comparison shops that carry very little information about individual products.

But not all products carry full information. For example, I clicked on a T-Shirt link and there is nothing there-not even the the manufacturer's bio. Oh, it is only a comparison shop. Not a real online shop. I understand.

This T-shirt's price is pretty expensive.

I browsed a little more on health care products and found the price too steep. No, I will not use this site.

Coupon codes for clothes.

Like a niche blog or a niche directory, there is a website that deals exclusively with clothing coupon codes.

Nicely named as Retail Me Not, you will find some of the best “Clothing” coupon, discount and promotion codes as ranked by the users of RetailMeNot.com.

Find and use coupon codes from as many as 100 branded clothing stores in the U.S. My relative who is in U.S. used to tell me his shopping experiences using coupon codes, second sales, Christmas sales etc.

This website even offers a FireFox extension which, when installed informs you about new coupon codes announced by their database of cloth merchants.

New shop and save website.

Don't discard this information as junk; you may stand to lose.

Pronto is a very good comparison shop online with a good range of products in its database. Apart from the main advantage of such compare and shop sites where we can save money, we come to know a variety of new products from several manufacturers that will enable us to re-plan our shopping preferences.

They say that they offer over 70 million products from over 65,000 stores. isn't that attractive that speaks something about them? Pronto.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI), which operates Ask.com, Citysearch, HSN, LendingTree, Match.com, Ticketmaster, Evite, and others.

When I review a web site, I look for some press reports that are unsolicited. Here is a report from the monet division of CNN on Pronto.com:
"Traffic to Google Product Search, a service that helps shoppers find and buy products online, has plummeted in the last year while competing services from rivals such as InterActiveCorp [Pronto.com]...have grown or held steady." CNNMoney.com, December 12, 2007

The website is somewhat slow in loading different inner pages. The layout is simple and less confusing.

Why Satrnum changed to Friend2friend?

Frankly speaking, I could not find the reason why Starnum changed its name to Friend2Friend but that is not the purpose of this blog post.

This is a great website for frequent shoppers online where they can recommend the product they like and earn commissions which they can pocket or donate.

What I like about this website is the clarity with which the steps are explained about how you and I can earn the commission for the product we recommend.

How it works:
They have partnered with 400 stores. You search for any category of product.
I quote them for the next step.
"From the search result list, click on the "Recommend This" button and edit the options as you wish. Then click "Add to My Recommendations". You will be asked to signup for an account, which is free. Having an account allows you to track your product recommendations and manage your commissions."

Here is the third and interesting step.
From your member area, you can create a widget for the product you recommend and place the widget in your website or blog. When someone clicks on it, they are brought to Friend2Friend website and read your recommendation. If then they decide to buy, they will be directed to the respective online shop and from then on, they will take care of the transaction for you.

This is just my idea of owning an online shopping mall.

Go to the website to get the detailed concept.

See the widget I created on this blog. It is about a book by Dr.Wayne Dyer. The making of this widget was pure fun and easy.
