Everyone faces this problem on occasions and events-what gift to buy?
I used to spend a lot of time going over my head all sorts of goodies considering the person and the occasion.
I stumbled on to this unique web site that generates gift ideas after asking you to choose the type of person to whom you want to present a gift, his/her age, your budget and the gender.
Then it lists out myriad gift ideas, where you can get each, where you can compare its price and so on. There are over 2,300 suggestions that include such varied choices as 'Print your own free novelty voucher', 'hot air balloon ride with champagne' and 'sponsor a goat for a 3rd world family'.
I tested the software and found it very interesting and pretty useful too.
GiftGen.com is the creation of 2 college friends both now in their mid-thirties. The site has been over 18 months in development, which has involved much researching of gifts, web-sites and stores.
GiftGen was featured in the 'Best new websites' section of 'Web User' magazine (Dec 2006).
