The perennial problems for students in India is text books. The related problems are late arrival of text books at the book shops, high cost and poor quality of papers. They still not got used to paperless books that one can get online.
Though the Internet is considerably cheaper here, the computer is still beyond means to many.
Here is an excellent resource for online text books written in 40 languages on all subjects. Wiki Books was launched in 2003 with a vision to bring out open content text books for free.
Every major subject has books on all possible sub-subjects. For example, Biology has books on Anatomy, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Paleoanthropology, Genetics and Microbiology and so on.
I saw some books in my mother tongue Tamil.
