India's first online comparison shop.
Today, I came to know about Bechna.com (a Hindi word for selling). I think it is a slow profile website as far as traffic and popularity is concerned.
The website design is pretty ordinary but the site is loading pretty fast. Information on products is elaborate and this is useful to all. It is so unlike many western online comparison shops that carry very little information about individual products.
But not all products carry full information. For example, I clicked on a T-Shirt link and there is nothing there-not even the the manufacturer's bio. Oh, it is only a comparison shop. Not a real online shop. I understand.
This T-shirt's price is pretty expensive.
I browsed a little more on health care products and found the price too steep. No, I will not use this site.

Is this medicine suitable?
Their latest launch is about the reference of medicines that doctors can get through their iPhone or PDA.
Physicians go mobile: Drug information always on call with Epocrates. Ok, what is the exact information that is available for medical practitioners?
- Drug Dosing
- Drug Interactions
- Retail Pricing
- Safety/Monitoring
- Adverse Reactions
I am always on the side of doctors; after all they are also human and not super computers to memorize thousands of medicines. They too need to refer books, periodicals and medical journals about what is the latest remedy for any particular ailment.
A service that is to be lauded.
Ps: This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

The utility tool we can't do without.
But alas, it doesn't happen.
We suspect some virus or trojan and we run a full scan of our anti virus software expecting better results. Still no hope.
We are perplexed.
Here is a great tool that is said to optimize the performance of our PC. It also gets the most out of your system’s memory! This feature will adapt your RAM resources to optimize overall performance and responsiveness.
Above all, it doesn't run in the background thereby freeing your system's resources.

Tattoos are fading. Prevent it now.

Website reviews is mostly a pleasant job but sometimes, it is a daunting task. I have to keep the changing the topic, give really useful information but at the same time I must ensure that none of the information is boring.
After spending considerable time on what topic should I select today, I selected Tattoo and body art.
I know the most novice question for the first time tattooer is will the art last life long. Yes mostly But it also depends on the ink used by the body artist.
Still, this blog article may prove useful as it gives tips to prevent fading of the tattoo.
Here is a sample:
" Selection of colors is another factor responsible for the fading of a tattoo. Keep in mind that dark colors like black, blue and grey are more resistant to fading than other colors like red, orange, yellow, purple, magenta, etc."

Meet the most interesting communities.
David Rockwell & Bruce Mau.
This book contains 256 pages of the most interesting events and celebration in the world including the mega Kumbh Mela, held in India, where several lakhs of people assemble to take a holy dip in the river.
This photo-driven book surveys an extensive range of events, happenings, densely-populated locales and visually-arresting traditions throughout the world.
Here is a review that I read in Amazon:
"An enlightening experiences into the most miraculous community or urban places bringing places and ideas together. And it is particularly overwhelming to review this issue from the lens of an architect. A must Buy!!!"
Another short review:
" Spectacle takes a look at the reasons why people gather together - sometimes in the most unwelcoming circumstances - to celebrate, to mourn, to affect change, to create. "
I have not yet bought this book. I thought I could collect more reviews and feedback.

Walt Disney's contribution to search engine.

It is not necessary for Newton to live for the world to get benefited by inventions. Walt Disney need not be among us now but the search engine Go belongs to Walt Disney's group.
Go.com is a family friendly search engine that belongs to Walt Disney Internet Group.
Well, as for as the actual search function, there is nothing new an special to write about. Go.com uses Yahoo as its default search engine. Here I don't understand one thing. If a search engine uses another search engine's search results, what is in it for?
Forget about their motive. As an user, I can always use Yahoo! search instead of Go.com
Did you catch my point?

Matching people with electronics.
Greenland is one place that continues to interest me because I know nothing about Greenland.

Getting back to the bright ideas, here is a review website -Retrevo, dedicated to consumer electronics such as television, digital camera, mobile phone, laptop and so on.
The main purpose of this website is to help people who have an inclination to buy an electronic product. Before they buy, they can visit this web site, read reviews and feedback given by others like you and I.
Ok, let me see, how exactly the Retrevo can help us:
* We can find exactly what we are looking to buy or probably better than what we have in mind.
*Read feedback and tips from consumers who have already bought and used the product.
What Retrevo says:
"We can help you get the support answers - including taking you directly to the specific page in a pdf manual! Our goal is to give you answers for all your electronics needs from before you buy to after you've had the product for years, and everything in between".
I decided to test the website and clicked on the image of a PDA. The next screen presented me with three choices of PDA categorized under "low end, mid range and high end".
On the left of this information, I saw a map with clickable dots and balloons. When I clicked, the information about another PDA was presented right along.
Yes, the information is presented in a nice and innovative way.
The page loads fast.
The home page design and layout is beautiful.
I feel the font size of the bottom menu could be slightly bigger. I read their FAQ and this question looked odd and out of place.
"What is wrong with the search, find and support process for consumer electronics products today?"
May be they have their valid reason for placing this question.

Where can you buy mountain bikes?

Mountain Bike aka MTB is a bicycle hat is designed to be rode on all types of roads and terrains but more specifically for rough mountain roads.
I heard MTB is a hot favorite among American youth! Chine are also catching up with this trend.
Mountain bikes have wide, knobby tires for extra traction and shock absorption. In recent years, front wheel suspension has become the norm and full front and rear suspension is becoming increasingly common.
The best place to know all about MTB is mtbr.com. This is a review site exclusively for mountain bikes. You will find reviews of MTBs, discussion forum for mountain bike users, free classified ads and hot deals.
Another hot favorite among the youth is participating or witnessing mountain bike races. mtbr.com is the best place to find all the events such races and gatherings.

Save thirsty children.

Can you believe this? Everyday, some 6000 children die of thirst.
And when they get water to drink, they die of water borne diseases. Isn't that heart breaking?
And what are we doing to remedy this dire situation? Which charity organization is taking action?
It is reported that UNICEF is running a program called 'Tap Project'. It seems several restaurants are participating in this project. I am sorry I don't have details.
I only know that every person who goes to those restaurants are asked to pay $1 for water which they otherwise get it free of cost.
This $1 will take care of a child's 40 days clean and hygienic water requirement.
For more details..
Predict the future and earn.
Predictify is a prediction platform where users can predict the future and build a reputation based on their accuracy, and marketers can post questions to collect actionable, forward-looking data “from the crowd”.
There is another segment for advertisers. Now, this becomes very interesting. Suppose if you are an advertiser and your market gel pens, you can raise a question related to your product and expect accurate answers from users since they are paid for their accuracy based reputation.
The questions that are asked are categorized into business, politics, sports, current events etc.
Predictify charges a fee to those advertisers who are asking a premium question and that is shared between them and you.

User friendly VoIP.
I choose to visit websites and review them mostly on impulses. Occasionally, I oblige a friend or even a stranger by reviewing their website or blog. I also have subscribed to a few RSS feeds of press releases to know what is happening.
Based on a web release that I received today, I paid a visit to Xpandercommunications.com, an IP technology and telecommunications firm based in
The web release was about their Nimbus VoIP Phone Systems, its features and cost effectiveness for any type of business. Nimbus VoIP phone systems by Xpander are designed to be the most flexible and user friendly business phone systems in the world.
There is a great deal of information about this technology in the Internet. That technology is put to optimum use in Nimbus VoIP Phone Systems.
The website of Xpander communications is designed nicely with ice blue color that is generally associated with science and technology.
But to my old eyes, I found it hard to read the bottom menu.
In summary, I want to say that the benefits of business VoIP are undeniable and should not be ignored by any business, large or small!
